Splain retires, vacates No. 23 ride
It hit the garage area like a bomb even though rumors had spread already when the No. 23 team's hauler lot remained empty on Thursday morning at Pocono Raceway. On Friday, NEPA Motorsports announced that team owner and No. 23 Sirius Satellite Ford driver Tom Splain retires from racing immediately.

Preview: Pocono
The clock is ticking and the inaugural 'Chase for the Championship' is getting closer in the eDimensional Cup Series. After this weekend's Pennsylvania 300 there will be only five more races for drivers to clinch a spot in the top-8 in driver points and with that a spot in the ten-race post-season.

Miguel Gomes: Biography
Miguel Gomes has been racing in the NTRL for years, gathering championships and more wins than any other driver. With begin of 2007 Gomes started a new chapter of his career taking his MG Motorsports operation to TASCOR competition. However the team was caught up in sponsorship and financial problems after just a few months and had to eventually close doors in summer of the same year.
The year later, in 2008, Gomes returned to the sport signing with RR Racing to drive the team's newest and third entry, the No. 48 Principal Financial Services Chevrolet. |
